select our "free" service, our logo
(the version you selected at signup) will appear
somewhere on your webpages depending upon where
the code is placed on the page.

and our select marketing friends. For more information

ad and emails by upgrading to our Deluxe
or Super Deluxe hit counter service.
What
is the difference in free-hit-counters.com and
free-hc.com?
Just the obvious: one name is really long and
the other is nicely shorter. Both refer to the
excellent hit counter service we provide. Users
may book the long but lovely: www.free-hit-counters.com
or type in www.free-hc.com.

How
does the free hit counter work?
Without giving away the farm: each time an
individual requests to view a webpage containing
the counter code, a request is made to display
our logo graphic. Tricky point is that the image
resides on our server. We not only dish-up the
image as requested, but also we take a snapshot
of information about the individual requesting
your webpage and overall track how many people
came to the site, when, etc. From there our team
of scientists massage that data into the useful
website traffic reports which you may access at
your account login.
What
is so great about free-hit-counters.com?
Users have live-time access to their website visitor
statistics. Access traffic reporting is available
to users via any internet connection (picture
yourself vacationing in Spain<or edit with
your destination> having a lovely cappucino
in a cafe, logging on and knowing your site had
bookooo visitors. Besides being a free hit counter
service, free-hc is not one of those lame hit
counters that only displays the number of visitors
since the beginning of adding the code. Who cares
for such weak information? Free-hc will show meaningful
information like how many in the last 30 days,
in a particular month... In addition, our service
will let you see which websites and search engines
are sending traffic to your website, what your
site visitors are searching for at the search
engine as well as several other useful cuts at
the traffic data: daily monthy, etc.
Can
I track multiple pages with Free-HC?
You are allowed to install the code in up to five
pages, however Deluxe
upgrade allows you to install code in as many
pages as you like. Including the tracking codes
will give a more accurate unique visitor stat,
as some traffic may be linked from a search engine
directly to a specific page, rather than to your
homepage. There will be no double counting of
"unique visitors", but the code will
include your webpages in the referring pages report.
In other words if someone drills into your site,
then backs out, it will report your page as "referring"
the traffic to your site. On the plus side, inserting
the code will better track the true number of
unique visitors and page views.
Is
free-hc.com associated with the CIA or KGB?
Heck no! We are just avid internet enthusiasts.
No dark powers will ever take us over or use our
data for evil.
